Allan Gray Orbis Foundation
Allan Gray Orbis Foundation offers a multi-disciplinary educational and entrepreneurial development
programme aimed primarily at black South Africans. All fellows of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation
must be enrolled in a university to be eligible for the programme, which assists them in successfully
pursuing their university education - preferably in the areas of commerce, engineering or science.
Fellows are exposed to seminars and workshops on business and entrepreneurship and are mentored by
accomplished business professionals.
Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is steadily working towards a position where at least 500 of its fellows are enrolled in the programme at any given time, and at least 100 of them will graduate from universities each year.
Succeeding in this objective would see the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation become the largest scheme of its kind in South Africa, realising Mr Allan Gray's vision of making a tangible contribution to alleviating poverty and joblessness through the promotion and support of entrepreneurship.
