Future Proof: FreeGPT

Researched and written by Nic Latouf, Digital Creative at Hey Creative and co-Founder of Veldskoen.

The free tool to rule them all. For the last couple of months, I have been doing a deep dive into all the free tools available to build your business. Free is my favourite F-word. LinkedIn is a free tool. I don’t think of it as a platform. It’s a free tool to build your current and future business when done right. And your personal brand. Which in this day and age is so important.

Chat GPT is another such tool. Think of it as your free assistant that can do just about anything. So many of the tasks startups struggle with due to lack of capacity can now be handed over to Chat GPT. Just remember to say “please” and “thank you” 😉

Your new free assistant will help you with the following tasks.

Research: Whether it’s researching industry trends, potential competitors, or new business opportunities, Chat GPT can quickly sift through vast amounts of data and provide the most relevant information.

Customer Service: Answering frequently asked questions, resolving simple customer issues, and escalating more complex issues to a human representative. By providing 24/7 support, Chat GPT can improve customer satisfaction and reduce the workload on the startup’s customer service team.

Marketing. Blog posts. SEO strategy. Social media strategy. Email marketing. Content creation. Data analysis. Chatbot marketing.

Sales support:: Answering questions from potential customers, providing product information, and even recommending products based on customer needs. By acting as a virtual sales assistant, Chat GPT can help a startup close more deals and improve customer satisfaction.

Project Management: Chat GPT can help with project management by setting up tasks, sending reminders, and even tracking progress. By automating these tasks, Chat GPT can help a startup be more organized and efficient.

This really is just the tip of the iceberg. The point is there is now another free tool you can use to help build your business.

On the topic of Chat GPT, I thought I would share a post I saw at the time of writing this piece that I think you would find interesting. It was written by a guy who built a travel app and sold it for two Billion dollars.

It goes as follows.

“I saw a tweet today which said, “If you’re just building a thin layer on top of Chat GPT, don’t call yourself an AI company”.

We built Kayak as a “thin layer” on top of the awesome ITA Software platform. They sold for $700m, we sold for $2b.

This “thin layer” — the brand and user experience — is actually the valuable stuff when you’re building a B2C app”

I love that. Brand is a moat.
