Through a learnership programme facilitated by Sunshine Cinema and Digify Africa, which provide in-depth audience engagement advice, expertise and training of up-and-coming media talent and bring digital skills to young people across all communities through various programmes and training respectively, Nontobeko learnt how to advertise her business appropriately using the skills she learned there.

Sunshine Cinema Students at Bootcamp (2021)

Nontobeko says, “Digify saved my life. From absolutely no business in 2020 in my events company to being fully booked for the month.” Nontobeko notes that by applying the strategies and skills she learned there, she was able to secure a decor contract for R5000, a further opportunity for R2 500 materialised in a short space of time thereafter.
